The department Student Accommodation of the Munich Student Union offers special accommodation designed to meet the needs of disabled students in many of its halls of residence. But also in our halls of residence that are not yet suitably equipped, we always try and find helpful, individual solutions - such as installing a ramp for wheelchairs.

Hall of Residence Felsenelkenanger

At the Felsennelkenanger halls of residence there are five double apartments that are specially adapted to suit the needs of persons with physical disabilities (a total of 10 apartments, so that always 2 students share the same bathroom and kitchen).  All of the apartments are on the ground floor and each apartment has its own terrace at ground level.

The next U-Bahn stop“Dülferstraße” (U2, Panzerwiese exit) and a shopping centre are right on your doorstep, and there is a medical centre with several different doctors only 800m away.

For these apartments, cars can be driven right up to the main door.

Hall of Residence Heidemannstraße

The Heidemannstraße hall of residence located in the north of Munich offers 3 apartments suitable for the disabled. There is an elevator as well as a ramp for wheelchairs leading to the washroom, to the common room in house 6 and several parking places for the disabled. The next U-Bahn stop "Kieferngarten" (U6) is 900 metres away.

Hall of Residence Heiglhofstraße

The Heiglhofstraße hall of residence is located right next to the Klinikum Großhadern and offers three apartments for disabled persons. All of them are on the ground floor and are equipped with an access for ambulance service.

Within a distance of 300 metres there are verious shopping opportunities. The closest U-Bahn stop is "Klinikum Großhadern" (U6).

Hall of Residence Josef-Wirth-Weg

The relatively new hall of residence Josef-Wirth-Weg in the north of Munich also offers two fully equipped apartments on the ground floor suitable for the disabled. They are easy to access via a wheelchair ramp. It is possible for an ambulance service to access them. The apartments are not suitably equipped for wheelchairs.

The next shopping opportunity lies within roughly 500 metres. The U-Bahn stop "Kieferngarten" (U6) and "Freimann" (U6) are 1.4 km and 1.6 km away.

Hall of Residence Max-Bill-Straße

The hall of residence Max-Bill-Straße in the north of Munich, situated in what is known as the Domagk-Park, includes four wheelchair-friendly apartments with separate kitchens and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The apartments are located on floors 1-4. There is an elevator. Automatic doors enable easy access to the hall of residence, the different floors, the washing machine and dryer room located in the basement as well as to the underground car park.

The bus stop “Max-Bill-Str.” is located 50 metres away from the hall of residence.  From there, the bus no. 177 takes passengers to “Frankfurter Ring” in 7 minutes or to “Studentenstadt Freimann” in 4 minutes. From there, the U6 or U2 can be taken to the city centre or out of town in the direction of “Garching-Forschungszentrum”.

Additionally, the next tram stop “Schwabing Nord”, is located only 500 metres away. From there it takes 8 minutes to get to the stop at “Münchner Freiheit”.

The EURO-Industriepark, Parkstadt Schwabing and the U6 stop “Alte Heide” all offer good shopping opportunities.

Hall of Residence Stiftsbogen

This hall of residence in the Schröfelhofstraße offers 10 rooms suitable for the disabled. As these rooms all belong to shared flats for two people, one of the two available rooms can be used by nursing staff.

The next shopping opportunity is right by the U-Bahn stop "Haderner Stern" (U6), at a distance of roughly 400 metres.


Hall of Residence Jochbergweg

In the hall of residence Jochbergweg 1-7 there is one shared flat for four people located on the ground floor which is suitable for disabled persons. The flat lies on the ground floor and is easily accessible for an ambulance service.

The U-Bahn stop Garching (U6) as well as suitable shopping opportunities are roughly 1km away.


Hall of Residence Rosenheim II

This hall of residence in the Westerndorfer Straße 47 offers one double apartment which is suitably equipped for disabled persons. Both kitchen and bathroom are suitable for the disabled. The rooms are located on the ground floor and can be accessed with a wheelchair through the courtyard.
