The Studentenwerk München completed the renovation of the student district Olympisches Dorf with the opening of the stepped buildings performed by Construction Minister Christian Bernreiter.

In the course of 15 years, the halls of residence in the district were renovated for approx. 150 million euros. All renovation projects that have been carried out in the student district were extensively supported by the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport.

Dr. Ursula Wurzer-Faßnacht, Director of the Studentenwerk München, pointed out:
“I am very happy to say that with the stepped buildings in the Olympisches Dorf being completed, we are now able to provide more than 2,000 affordable accommodation units and can thus contribute to easing the pressure on the student housing market in Munich.” The renovation works were carried out by bogevischs buero architekten & stadtplaner GmbH.
