cultureclubbing goes Filmfest 2019Lecture à haute voix
The Munich Student Union presents
the film “SAINT FRANCES“ at the Filmfest München
followed by a get-together in the Minna Thiel, free admission for students!
cultureclubbing will once again be at the Filmfest:
On Tuesday, 02 July 2019, the Student Union and the Filmfest München will be presenting SAINT FRANCES, a film by Alex Thompson.
In “Saint Frances”, Bridget desperately needs a change of scenery. At the age of 34 and without a family or meaningful career of her own, she takes up the job of being Frances’s nanny. The timing could not be worse: While the obstinate six-year-old demands all her attention, Bridget is also struggling with the abortion she just had and with Frances’ two mothers, who are having more and more problems in their relationship. And yet a fundamental affection develops between these characters, a mutual understanding which also includes an examination of their own gender and of different lifestyles. Alex Thompson’s first film won the audience award at the South by Southwest film festival in the US.
After the screening, there will be a talk with the director Alex Thompson and the actress of the main character Kelly O'Sullivan.
From 09:00 p.m. onwards, the intriguing “Minna Thiel”, which belongs to the “Bahnwärter”, will be awaiting you right in front of the University of Television and Film. At this relaxed get-together the first 100 students will receive free drinks!
And, as always with cultureclubbing: students get in for free!
Free tickets for the film can from now on be obtained at the Filmfest box offices in the Gasteig; simply show your student ID. From 28 June 2019, tickets will also be available at all the other Filmfest box offices: City-Atelier Kinos, RIO Filmpalast, Filmmuseum, Filmtheater Sendlinger Tor, Gloria Palast, HFF München, ASTOR Filmlounge in the ARRI, Kinos Münchner Freiheit.
