The ZHS (University Sports Center Munich) provides many opportunities for students to exercise, take part in courses and to have a go at all kinds of different sports.
For only €10.00, students can purchase a basic subscription (per semester!) that allows them to participate in many courses: this great offer includes ball sports such as golf or badminton, climbing, fitness, water sports, gymnastics and athletics, but also dancing, martial arts and trend sports. Swimming in the Olympic Swimming Hall is also included, without entrance fee, at certain hours.
More information on registering and subscriptions can be found on the website of the ZHS at:

"Pinakothek der Moderne”
During the week, in the afternoons or evenings, the sports halls of Munich's schools offer all kinds of sport courses for people to take part in. You pay with the cheap “Freizeitsport-Tickets” (recreational sports ticket), which you need to purchase before attending. You can buy them at the city information in the town hall at Marienplatz, during the following hours: Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
One hour merely costs €2.60, a multiple ticket (for 4 hours) only €10. In some very rare cases, you need 2 tickets for one hour.
The types of sport range from basketball to capoeira, fitness training, kickboxing, free running, qi gong, yoga and zumba.
Please note: The courses only take place on school days of the Bavarian school calendar (NOT during the school holidays [Green])!
