The Private Accommodation Service
Every year, our Private Accommodation Service passes on the details of several hundred private rooms to students who have not been offered accommodation in a hall of residence. Please note that the Student Union merely acts as an intermediary, inserting the landlords’/landladies’ offers into the database. We do not check the landlords/landladies or their offers. If you are looking for a room for the beginning of your studies in October, the best time to look would be between July and September. In October, a large number of new students come to Munich. That is probably the reason why the chances to get a room are higher at an earlier stage.
Here you can take a look at our current offers in Munich and the surrounding area (including Freising und Rosenheim). In order to obtain a landlord’s/landlady’s phone number, you first need to register here.

Our personal Accommodation Advisory Service is open Monday to Friday between 09:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Private Accommodation Service. Our consultants will inform you about the various possibilities of finding accommodation. Our current privat accommodation offers are posted online every day.
