Student self-administration has been established in all of the Munich Student Union student residencies.
The self-administration committee is comprised of house representatives, (resident) tutors, floor representatives and the persons responsible for running the communal areas. These representatives are elected by the occupants of the halls of residence.
One aim of the self-administration committee is to promote community living. To this aim, they organise things such as discussion evenings and cultural events. The other main function of the self-administration committee is to form a communications link between the student boarders and the student union landlord.
