Studentenwerk Munich and the House of Literature Munich proudly present Finnish comic authors including performance and music – then party in the club/bar Unter Deck

Comics, a reading, conversation, music, live drawing with „Comic in Concerts & Guitar Madness“, Finnish disco hits, a Finnish DJ and a special appearence of the show-wrestler " Black Peider": all this is cultureclubbing the Finnish way. The semester starts, and the series of events of the Student Union Munich gives an insight on the culture and music scene of the Nordic country.

The event took place on the evening of 17th October as a cooperation of the Student Union with the house of Literature Munich and the club/bar „Unter Deck“. cultureclubbing joins regularly a cultural highlight with an after-show-party – for students for free!

In the House of Literature at 8.30 p.m., two Finnish well-known comic artists presented their newest work on English and German. Ville Ranta and Petteri Tikkanen so represent different styles of the comic genres in Finland: Ville Ranta not only is a comic author, but also a political cartoonist, writes Graphic Novels and is regarded of one of Finland's finest comic artists. Petteri Tikkanen, the other author, tells in his book „Blitzkrieg of Love" the history of Eero and his female friend Kanerva, who grow up in the Finnish province. While Kanervais becoming a young lady, Eero stays in his world of childish imaginations. Tikkanens book with four stories about these two was honoured with the Finlandia Comics Prize!

The reading will not only be interrupted by some music, no: Ville Ranta is going to draw live to the unsusual sounds of „Comics in Concert & Guitar Madness" (Aleksi Ranta & Raoul Björkenheim, Guitars)!
After the reading the authors will answer the questions of the public and the presenter Knut Cordsen (Bavarian Radio.

Straight afterwards we will have a party at the club/bar Unter Deck (address: Oberanger 26). The Finnish DJ Kalle Hakkola (Finnish Comics Society) and DJ Don Schmocko, well-known from "Holy Home", will set the tone and let hear Nordic dankcing hits.
Petteri Tikkanen aka Black Peider, the super hero and show wrestler, will have a special appereance on that evening, too.

The reading starts at 8.30 p.m. in the House of Literature – pre-opening and bar begin even at 8 p.m. At 11 p.m. the clubbing tkes over at the club and bar „Unter Deck“, with DJ sets and the cameo of Black Peider.

A delicacy for the first 100 students in the club „Unter Deck“: Free drinks for showing your studient ID (beer, water or Softdrinks)!
