cultureclubbing goes DOK.fest 2019
The Munich Student Union presents
The film "WOODSTOCK" at the Documentary Film Festival
Followed by a party at the folks! club, free admission for students!
cultureclubbing is back in time for the summer semester!
On Thursday, 9 May 2019, at 9:00 p.m., the Student Union and DOK.fest Munich will be presenting the documentary WOODSTOCK, a film by Barak Goodman.
The WOODSTOCK festival - who doesn’t dream about having been there? For the 50th anniversary of this legendary festival, DOK.fest is going to show a German premiere of a documentary in the Deutsches Theater.
In WOODSTOCK, the director of the film lets the spirit of the festival and its time revive. Unseen photos, shots and statements from the archives show the organisers, visitors and neighbours who all turned this happening into the big, political event which is still remembered today for its special vibe and atmosphere. This film about the 1969 music and hippie happening will be screened at the Deutsches Theater as one of the films in the series "Cinema at its best!" (German: "Ganz großes Kino!")
The film team will be present and will answer questions after the screening.
Then everyone can come along to the party at the folks! club at the Sendlinger Tor, where this musical time travel will continue in an international way: hippie and guitar sounds, as well as indie music will for sure make everyone want to dance.
And, the motto at the club is: students get in for free (until midnight, after that 4 euros)!
Upon presenting valid student identification, the first 100 guests to arrive in the club will receive a free drink (beer, soft drink) – first come, first served!
Due to the limited number of places, it is necessary to register up ahead. Please register online here:
You can collect your ticket on Thursday, 09.05.2019, from 8:00 p.m. onwards at the theatre box office in the Deutsches Theater after showing your confirmation either printed out or on your smartphone.
