Students often feel themselves to be under a lot of pressure to perform. Time and competitive pressure as well as changes in private life often go hand in hand with intense physical and mental tension. Effective relaxation techniques that quickly make you feel better and allow you to recuperate can be extremely useful, particularly during the stressful periods leading up to exams.
In the relaxation course offerd by the Psychotherapeutic Counselling Service you have the chance to explore your personal methods for physical and mental relaxation in detail. Then you can select and practice the relaxation technique, such as progressive muscle relaxation, that is best suited to your own personal style of relaxation.
To ensure that our course is well suited to your needs, we arrange a personal appointment for you upon registration.
We run relaxation courses regularly. The course dates are published before the beginning of each semester and can be found in the student union 'workshops, courses and excursions' flyer.
The course consists of five 90 minute sessions.
Courses take place in the offices of the Psychotherapeutic Counselling Service in the Olympic Village Community Centre, Helene-Mayer-Ring 9, 80809 München statt (U 3 Olympiazentrum).
Please only register for the course if you are able to attend all five sessions. It is not a self-awareness group! Be aware that the course takes place in German only. We arrange a personal appointment with you upon registration so that you can explain to us your reasons for wanting to participate. Equipped with this information, we can advise you as to whether or not the course is appropriate to your needs.
