Room RaffleRead out
Between 15.05.2022 and 15.07.2022 the Munich Student Union is going to raffle 100 rooms for students - 85 in Munich and 15 in Freising.
The rooms are intended for students who are going to begin to study at a Munich university for the first time (eg Bachelor, Master as well as students who have changed university). The tenancy agreements for the rooms will be valid from 01.10.2022. Exchange students and PhD students are not eligible to take part. Due to the very short waiting period in Rosenheim, no places will be raffled there.
Taking part in the raffle is only possible from 15.05.2022 to 15.07.2022 (preclusive period) and only once. Applying more than once is not permitted and will result in your name being removed from the waiting lists for student accommodation.
In order to take part in the raffle, go to our online application between 15.05.2022 to 15.07.2022 fill in the regular application form for student accommodation and additionally type in "Erstsemester im Wintersemester 2022/23” into the field "Hints” (extra information).
If the space for “Hints” is left blank, you will not take part in the raffle. Please also note that by filling in a "1" for "Number of Terms", you will not automatically be included in the room raffle.
Applying online is also possible without a admission letter or certificate of matriculation for the winter semester. However, the certificate of matriculation must be handed in at the latest when the contract starts.
The Munich Student Union’s general conditions for application apply. There is no guarantee that the winners will be offered accommodation in one of their preferred halls of residence. It may arise that an applicant wins a room in another hall of residence. It remains the applicant’s decision whether or not to accept this room.
Applications received after 15.07.2022 can no longer be entered into the raffle.
The winners will then soon be notified by email and will be asked if they want to accept the offer by a certain date. Those who are not lucky will also receive an email and will be put onto the waiting list with the date of their application.
Legal recourse is excluded.
