Did I apply for my visa on time?

Is my passport valid for long enough?

Do I have all the required documents necessary for my residence permit?

Do I definitely have the necessary financial means and officially valid proof regarding my financing?

Do I have health insurance for my stay abroad and have I received the proof-of-coverage documents?

Have I found the right university and the right course of studies and have I received my acceptance letter?

Do I have the necessary language skills and examination certificates?

Am I aware of all important application dates and deadlines?

Do I have all the relevant reports and confirmations, translated if necessary, which I need to hand in for matriculation?

Do I have accommodation, if only temporary?

Am I participating in an exchange programme (such as ERASMUS (LMU); TUMexchange) and studying at a university which participates in the "Servicepaket"? There might be the possibility to get a room via your university. Please check the website of your university for more information regarding accommodation.

Do I need liability insurance?

Do I need any additional insurances, e.g. because I handle hazardous substances in my studies?

Do I have a supply of passport photos for the various different registrations in Munich?
