Applications and forms

IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, overseas students are generally not entitled to BAföG.

Jurisdiction

The Munich Student Union (Studentenwerk) is responsible for the assessment and allocation of BAföG applications in almost all colleges in Oberbayern. The only colleges to which this does not apply, are those in Ingolstadt, Eichstätt and Triesdorf.

Where Can I Obtain an Application Form?

All application forms are available either

  • for collection from the Munich Student Union (Studentenwerk) lodge, Leopoldstraße 15, 80802 Munich (U3/U6 Giselastraße),
  • or for download at the government website www.das-neue-bafoeg.de.

Where should I send my application?

Please send your documents and completed applcation forms directly to the administrator responsible for your application (see: onlline-tool to find your administrator). Please do not simply submit them to the secretary at the Office for Educational Maintenance! Address your application as follows:

Application by email is not possible!

Please be sure to include your personal reference number (or the name of your college and your subject if you do not yet have one), otherwise it will not be possible to assign your applcation to the correct subject area. Yor signature is also absolutely necessary!

Please do not send us original documents unless we specifically request them, as they generally recieve a stamp.
