Studying costs money. Those who cannot cover the costs of rent, food and study-fees alone or with help from their parents, have two basic options to finance their studies:
- 50% by means of a grant and 50% by means of an interest-free educational maintenence loan (BAföG) (Unfortunately, overseas students are generally not entitled to BAföG).
